- We work with both vocals and instrumentals.
3) What genres of music does SongCatalog work with?
-We work with all genres of music. If you listen to the music
being used in commercials TV shows and Films today you will hear a very large
cross-section of music styles and genres.
4) What are the requirements to work with SongCatalog?
-You must own or control the publishing and/or the master
rights for all the music you wish to promote for licensing. Second, all music
must be fully completed since we do not work with demos or rough cuts.
5) Why does SongCatalog have membership fees?
-To help cover the costs associated with the various services
we provide. Unlike other free automated blanket licensing services SongCatalog
provides a more comprehensive and interactive service aimed at members who are
seeking a more proactive solution.
6) Is SongCatalog an exclusive or non exclusive service?
-SongCatalog is 100% non exclusive. There are many great
services available for promoting your music today and we believe it is not in
our member's best interest to limit their opportunities.
7) As a member do I retain full control of my music?
-You always have100% control and ownership of your music.
This means you are notified prior to any license that we complete on your
behalf. It's your music and you should always have the final say on how your
music is used.
8) Is there any sort of member agreement or contract when working with
SongCatalog?
-Yes there is a standard member agreement for all new
members.
9) Will my membership automatically renew?
-Yes, your membership will automatically renew annually at the set renewal
rate. If you do not wish to renew simply provide 30 days notice prior to your
renewal date. Cancellation notices should be emailed to
membership@songcatalog.com
